Key facts

Getting a certified translation from Certilate takes six steps. You upload the document and an account is created, you receive a fixed quote in minutes, you pay by card or e-transfer, a certified human translator starts work, you review and comment on the draft, and the finished translation is certified, stamped and uploaded to your account to download.

FrenchEnglish Step by step

Every stage, in detail.

One provider handles all five. You are never asked to coordinate between a marketplace, a translator and a certifier.

Step 01

Upload your document and create your account

Drag and drop any format — PDF, JPG, PNG or DOCX, up to 50 MB — and add a few details about the document. Your account is created at the same time, and everything from here happens inside it: your quote, your draft, your comments and your final file.

  • PDF, JPG, PNG and DOCX accepted
  • Account created as you upload
  • Your job number is issued immediately

Step 02

Receive your fixed quote

Within minutes you see a total price and a firm delivery date, calculated from your language pair, document type, page count and chosen speed. That number never changes after you accept it.

  • No payment yet — just a quote
  • Standard 2–3 days or Express 24 hours
  • Fixed, with no surprise add-ons

Step 03

Pay by card or e-transfer

Accept the quote and pay by credit card for an instant start. If you prefer e-transfer, send it and then upload the screenshot to your account — quoting your job number in the e-transfer message so we can match the payment straight away.

  • Credit card starts work instantly
  • E-transfer: upload your screenshot
  • Always reference your job number

Step 04

Your translator begins work

Payment starts the job. A certified professional who works only in your language pair is assigned immediately and begins translating — no bidding, no confirmation wait, no re-quoting.

  • Work starts on payment
  • Matched to your document type
  • A second linguist reviews the result

Step 05

Review the draft and comment

Your translator shares the draft in your account before anything is certified. Read every line, check every name and date, and comment directly on the document. Your translator responds and revises — all free at this stage.

  • Draft shared in your account
  • Comment directly on the document
  • Revisions before certification are free

Step 06

Certified, stamped and delivered

Once your comments are resolved, your translator finalises the translation, certifies and stamps it, and uploads the completed document to your account. Review it there and download the signed PDF, or request a wet-ink original by tracked mail.

  • Certified and stamped by your translator
  • Uploaded to your account to review
  • Download the signed PDF, or ship a hard copy

You have the last word.

Before your translation is certified you see the full draft. Flag a spelling, question a date, request a change — directly on the document. Nothing is final until you say it is.

UkrainianEnglish Process questions

Questions about the process

How long does the whole process take?
Standard delivery is 2 to 3 business days from approval of the quote. Express delivery is within 24 hours. The exact delivery date is committed in your quote before you pay.
Do I have to pay before I see the price?
No. You upload the document first and receive a fixed quote in minutes. Payment only happens after you accept that quote, and the quote becomes the invoice unchanged.
Can I change something after I see the draft?
Yes. Your translator shares the draft in your account before anything is certified, you comment on it, and revisions at that stage are free. Names, dates and spellings are confirmed by you before the certification statement is signed.
What file formats can I upload?
PDF, JPG, PNG and DOCX, up to 50 MB per file. A clear photo of a physical document is acceptable, and multiple pages can go up in a single upload.
What happens if the receiving office rejects the formatting?
Certilate corrects and re-certifies at no charge. Free re-certification for formatting issues is included with every order.
